Yorktown Sports Park (Under Construction)

In an effort enhance the quality of life for the Residents of Yorktown and western Delaware County, The Town Council along with the County Commissioners, representatives from Mt. Pleasant School Board, Yorktown JAA, Delaware County Soccer and the Yorktown Skateboarders, broke ground on the Yorktown Sports Park.  The ceremony celebrated the support of all of the participants of what will become a primary recreational destination in Yorktown, Mt. Pleasant Township and Delaware County.

Beginning construction of the sports park will take place during the fall of 2008, with additional phases planned for design and construciton in late 2008 and early 2009.  The park when completed will offer the youth of the community constructive recreational outlets, while making Yorktown a premier destination for families looking to live in Delaware County.
